Our afternoon talent is headed to Boston, and we couldn’t be prouder. Now, Saga Communications’ Portland Radio Group has an immediate opening for a multi-faceted radio professional to replace him on our country giant in New England’s fourth largest media market.
101.9 POR is Portland’s country leader featuring Jon, Joe & Courtney All Morning and 12-In-A-Row All Day. Plus, local talent in all key dayparts, major cash contests, concerts and more. We’re meticulous about every facet of our brand, and we play to win. Portland is home to more rated country signals than Nashville, so a polished presentation and competitive mindset are absolutely essential. Engaging listeners through social media is compulsory, but we promise not to burden you with endless posting mandates that detract from the primary task of informing and entertaining on the air. Some cluster-wide administrative duties are also required.
If selected, you’ll be privileged to work with a dedicated team of broadcast professionals who believe that what comes out the speakers is the foundation of everything else we do. No kidding. And you’ll be working for one of the most respected publicly held Radio groups in America, Saga Communications. Lest we forget, Portland, Maine is a cosmopolitan city replete with gourmet restaurants, a spectrum of live music venues, renowned healthcare and the limitless recreation our famous coastline has to offer. Fine-tune your act in one of Radio’s best mid-major markets.
Because you’ll be joining the best in the business, documented ratings success is mandatory as is fluency in contemporary country formatics and the ability to write and produce cinematic imaging and production. Send a resume and scoped audio demo in complete confidence to WPOR Afternoons at Portland Radio Group, 420 Western Avenue, South Portland, Maine 04106 or e-mail WPORafternoons@portlandradiogroup.com.
